Job SummaryThe Coordinator of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving is primarily responsible for supporting the functions of the office. This includes being detail-oriented, providing administrative assistance and possessing advanced interpersonal and communication skills. Several of the principal responsibilities include overseeing general office functions, supervision of student employees, maintaining email accounts for the office, processing and updating constituent data, setting up and administering online forms, event registrations, giving pages, crowdfunding pages, supporting stewardship, maintaining office correspondence, assisting with budgets and assisting with in-person events. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: event planning, digital engagement, direct mail, e-solicitations, texting, reunion/homecoming programming, crowdfunding and assisting with ONU's Day of Giving.ScopeThe Coordinator of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving will support and serve the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving in their efforts to actively engage, build, sustain and recognize relationships in support of Ohio Northern University. The ultimate goal of the position is to manage overall office functionality, support the Executive Director and Director with projects and programs and oversee student employees.Principal Responsibilities- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise student employees/interns. Including offering student interns meaningful and educational opportunities to learn skills of fundraising, relationship management, and emphasising the impact of philanthropy.
- Plan, implement, and provide metrics and reporting for each fall and spring semester to retain phone loyal donors.
- Facilitate daily, weekly and monthly pledge reminder process, texting campaigns, email solicitations, stewardship and emerging communications.
- Assist with digital engagement, in-person events, including planning, implementation, and evaluation. Examples include, but are not limited to Regional Alumni Events, Reunions, Homecoming, Day of Giving, and other signature events that require assistance.
- With input and approval from the Executive Director of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving, research, propose and execute strategies targeted at acquisition, retention, and reactivation of donors through various fundraising methods which may include, but are not limited to phone, direct mail, email, crowdfunding, texting, digital advertising, and in person solicitation.
- Plan and implement stewardship and retention efforts including, but not limited to, leadership annual giving, first time donors, faculty/staff giving campaign, digital marketing, direct mail, email, social media, texting, etc.
- Support Day of Giving through planning, preparation and executive of communications, solicitations, marketing, and day of event logistics.
- Support office functions through handling calls, answering emails, ordering office equipment, submitting IT help tickets and physical plant work order and accommodating smooth office flow.
- Update University Advancement database and provide constituent information and data updates as needed.
- Set up and administration of online forms, event registration, giving pages and crowdfunding pages.
- Assist with budgets management including fund disbursement, check requests, deposits, transfers, etc.
- Interpret and apply a variety of procedures, policies, and precedents. For example, managing requests for information from alumni and friends.
- Provide exceptional customer service and responsiveness to colleagues, alumni, and friends of ONU.
- Assist with mass marketing, mailings, and appeals.
- Regularly communicate with constituents.
- Manage and respond to delicate donor relations matters.
- Maintain the highest standard of confidentiality in handling information.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- One to two years related fundraising experience or equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications- Experience using database applications, Blackbaud RENXT preferred
- Experience managing student workers
- Previous supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Word, and Excel, and Google Suite products
- Experience in a higher education setting
- Ability to convert technical data into formal reports
- Other duties as assigned
