Job Summary
The Prospect Research and Data Analyst position plays a critical role in supporting fundraising efforts by providing in-depth research, data analysis, and actionable insights on prospective donors. This position is responsible for gathering and interpreting data from a variety of sources to identify giving potential, assess donor engagement opportunities, and support portfolio development for frontline fundraisers. This position collaborates closely with the Development team to inform strategy, optimize donor targeting, and enhance campaign planning through reliable and timely data.Key Responsibilities:* Conduct comprehensive prospect research to identify new major gift prospects and assess giving capacity
* Analyze internal and external data sources to provide actionable insights on donor trends and engagement patterns
* Prepare detailed prospect profiles and briefing materials for fundraisers and leadership
* Develop and maintain prospect scoring models and segmentation tools to prioritize outreach efforts
* Collaborate with Development Officers to support pipeline development and campaign initiatives
* Generate regular and ad hoc reports on fundraising metrics, donor activity, opportunity activity and action reporting
* Assist in data cleansing, validation, and system optimization to ensure accurate and reliable information
* Stay current on best practices in prospect research, data analytics, and philanthropic trends
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under deadlines
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools
- Critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Knowledge of CRM/database management (e.g., Raiser's Edge)
- High attention to detail and accuracy skills

Work Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Mon. - Fri.
Occasional weekend and evening hours as needed
