Job Summary
The Annual Giving Officer position serves as an integral team member of the TROY University Office of Development. As a member of the Office of Development team, the Annual Gift Officer position will work with alumni, friends, corporations, foundations, and other key constituent prospects to solicit up to $25,000 in gifts for TROY University and also play a pivotal role in supporting development related events and functions. This position reports to the Director of Annual Giving and Special Projects.Duties and Responsibilities:- Advance the mission, vision, and short and long-term goals of TROY University and the Office of Development.
- Maintain a dynamic portfolio of individuals and priority corporate prospective donors to solicit lead annual gifts (up to $25K) and meet or exceed agreed upon annual metrics.
- Serve as a member of the TROY University Office of Development frontline fundraisers team for Leadership Annual Giving gifts and participate in prospect management and prospect strategy meetings.
- Work under the direction of the Director of Annual Giving to coordinate all key strategic solicitations and annual giving events.
- Assist Director of Annual Giving with the management of student workers.
- Assist with other development projects as needed and directed by the Director of Annual Giving.
- Serve as an exemplary TROY University advocate in the community, with local leaders, alumni organizations, business and corporate partners, and other leaders and key constituents.
- Be active and involved in the advancement profession and faithfully represent TROY University in a collegiate and professional manner.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field2. Minimum of one to three years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, events, or customer services fields3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills4. Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize5. Ability to interact with a wide variety of constituents
6. Excellent computer skillsWill this position require driving (personal vehicle, university vehicle, utility vehicle, or golf cart) in order to perform the job duties?
Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility
Work Hours: M-F, 8-5
