Location: Atlanta, GA
Benefits: Paid holidays. Vacation paid 2 weeks annually. 5 sick days annually. Paid fully even on weeks when RATL is closed - Employee does not utilize PTO during weeks that RATL is closed, but does not have to be on site.
About Restoration Atlanta: Restoration Atlanta (RATL) is a faith-based nonprofit organization that exists to strengthen and equip under-resourced families to experience holistic restoration. RATL serves families experiencing homelessness & housing instability, providing no-cost after school and summer programs so that families can work towards self-sustainability. The RATL Afterschool & Summer Programs provide care and development to children experiencing homelessness and children from under-resourced communities. We are seeking a compassionate, self-driven, and highly capable Executive Director to join us that is committed to carrying out the mission of RATL and caring for our communities.
Job Summary: The Executive Director of Restoration Atlanta serves as the primary leader of the organization and oversees RATL’s strategy, operations, and overall mission. They are responsible for leading, growing, and championing RATL’s vision and purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sets the strategic direction of RATL and ensures the organization stays aligned with its mission to serve homeless populations
- Collaborates with the Board of Directors to identify opportunities, recognize risks, and implement strategic organizational plans
- Identifies, establishes, maintains, and grows annual budget and financials
- Develops fundraising program through events, grants, corporate sponsorships, and individual donor relationships
- Identifies, recruits, trains, and develops a team of talented employees to carry out the mission
- Develops the organizational culture to promote support, accountability, and collaboration throughout the organization
- Identifies, establishes, and maintains partnerships with company stakeholders including foundations, donors, corporations, churches, and partners
- Monitors company operations to ensure that employees and business practices comply with all legal requirements
- Identifies potential threats, risks, and opportunities within the organization to protect the mission of RATL
- Represents the organization at community and corporate events to strengthen the company’s brand and share the vision with others
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as non-profit management, business administration, and public administration
- Minimum 3 years experience leading an organization, preferably in the non-profit sector
- Ability to develop and execute fundraising strategies to secure grants and donations
- Ability to lead a diverse organization; managing staff and fostering a positive culture
- Ability to adapt to fast changes and work under pressure
- Ability to build productive relationships with all types of stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong sense of ownership and self-motivation
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of non-profit budgeting and financial management
- Passionate about working with underserved, underprivileged communities
- Commitment to furthering a Christian faith-based environment
- Experience in a Christian Ministry such as in a children’s ministry
- Previous experience working with groups of staff and children
- Knowledge of the non-profit sector and the challenges nonprofits experience
