Job Description:The Gift Processing Coordinator is responsible for processing gifts, donor acknowledgments and varied financial reports. The position has significant responsibilities in the areas of data and gift entry to ensure that all cash gifts, stock donations, and pledges are accurately recorded in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge database and reconciled with the Financial Office. This role is also accountable for updating all constituent records with current information from validated sources.
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing gift entry and other Processing roles deemed necessary by the Director of Advancement Services. Processing roles include gift log, gift copying, batch review and gift entry for all gifts of cash, check, credit card, online, matching gifts (including follow up), in-kind, wired funds and pledges, as well as updating constituent data, creating new constituent records and setting up gift tributes.
- Communicate with Director of Advancement Services to ensure accurate processing of gifts and to ensure financial integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with Director of Advancement Services and Finance Department to resolve technical problems or adjustments that must be made to ensure accurate processing of gifts.
- Update constituent records to reflect information sent from credible and verifiable sources - including but not limited to change of address, change of name, change of marital status and deceased.
- Research returned mail for address updates and enter updates into Blackbaud Raiser's Edge.
- Together with the other members of the Advancement Services Team, develop policies and procedures that pertain to the constituent and gift records in relational database.
- Ensure that we have complete information on gifts including but not limited to matching gifts, stock, in-kind and pledges.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining constituent electronic and paper files.
- Attend and participate in monthly University Advancement all team meetings and weekly Advancement Services meetings and trainings.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements: - 2+ years' experience in development or related setting.
- Experience with alumni/development databases.
- Strong attention to detail; possess excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with multiple constituencies, both internal and external.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Advanced experience with MS Office products, required.
- Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge would be beneficial.
- CASE gift reporting experience, preferred.
