Location: New Orleans, LA
SummaryThe Program Manager is a full-time professional position responsible for providing high-level support, implementation, and management of unit initiatives for the Director of Special Projects and the Major Gift unit. The position will primarily provide advanced support to the Major Gifts unit, Regional Fundraisers, and the Family Leadership Council. The Program Manager will take the lead and/or assist with special projects and initiatives as decided by the Director of Special Projects. The Program Manager will work closely with other departments within the Office of Advancement and is expected to uphold the values, policies, and procedures of the Office of Advancement and work collaboratively with colleagues at large across certain areas of Tulane University.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple demands and/or projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate and work cooperatively and effectively with high level prospects, donors, and volunteers.
- Ability to make decisions independently, demonstrate initiative and self-starting capacity
- Ability to contribute to the yearly strategic planning of the department
- Ability to mentor a team and manage a project
- Experience working with sensitive information and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Required Education and/or Experience:- Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience in fundraising, project management, or a related field

- High School diploma or equivalent and 8 years' directly related experience.
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in higher education and knowledge of university fundraising
- Commitment to the values of an institution of higher education
- Knowledge of various software systems, such as Word, Excel, and a prospect management database

Compensation Information
