Job DetailsDescriptionAs part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks an Advancement Coordinator to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Alumni and Donor Engagement, the Advancement Coordinator supports the Alumni and Donor Engagement team by helping ensure initiatives move from planning to execution. This role focuses on coordination, organization, and follow-through across alumni engagement, annual giving, communications, data operations, and donor relations. The Coordinator works closely with the Assistant Vice President and collaborates with Advancement team members to support committee work, manage timelines, and keep priorities moving forward.
This position requires a can-do, hands-on approach and is best suited for someone who is highly organized, action-oriented, and comfortable executing work directly in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.
- Provide administrative and project support for Advancement initiatives, including committee work and donor and alumni programs.
- Support the Women of Marian program and committee through meeting preparation, follow-up, and timeline tracking.
- Assist with coordinating projects by organizing tasks, tracking deadlines, and following up on action items to support timely execution.
- Support event-related needs, including preparing materials, assisting with invitations and RSVPs, and providing on-site support for alumni and donor events, which include occasional evenings and weekends.
- Assist with data entry, list maintenance, and record updates in Raiser's Edge NXT and shared tracking documents.
- Maintain organized records, files, and shared project materials to support team efficiency.
- Provide general administrative support to the Assistant Vice President as needed.

Preferred to have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, as well some experience in project coordination and administrative support.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in higher education, advancement, alumni relations, or fundraising, as well as those proficient in Webex, Zoom, and donor database systems.

Manage absence from work in responsible manner to ensure service to clients, work teams, and coworkers.
