SummaryThe Associate Director of Development is a professional fundraising position for the Green Wave Club. The successful candidate will identify prospective donors, cultivate donor relationships, and solicit donations or gifts of $10,000 or more from individuals, corporations, or foundations in conjunction with Athletics' strategic priorities and objectives. This position is involved with all aspects of generating private donor support for Tulane Athletics and will assist the Assistant Athletic Director, Development in the marketing efforts of the Olive and Blue Society and the stewardship of both Olive and Blue Society and Green Wave Club members.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:-Experience writing and preparing fundraising solicitations, proposals and/or marketing materials.
-Proactively uses prospect identification, research, and qualification processes to generate prospects and implement strategies to drive giving.
-Comprehensive understanding of various giving vehicles such as bequests, DAF's, gifts of securities or assets that donors giving at higher levels would utilize.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, to include the ability to prioritize projects and meet established deadlines.
-Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as necessary in the performance of assigned duties is required.
-Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion regarding interpersonal relationships both internally and externally.
-Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use upmost discretion when privy to sensitive information.
-Must have truly outstanding customer service and demonstrated skill in interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
-Ability to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student athletes, perspective donors, external constituencies, and vendors.
-Proven ability to multi-task effectively and strong organizational skills.
-Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and other software necessary to the development operation.
-Travel with sport teams for away contests.
-Thorough knowledge of NCAA and American Athletic Conference rules and regulations.
NCAA Related: Ensures that all Department of Athletics and University related activities operate in full compliance with university, conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Attends and participates in scheduled compliance seminars and complies with all the Athletic Department's efforts to monitor compliance with NCAA regulations. Seeks interpretations from the compliance staff before acting when necessary. Reports potential rules violations immediately. Completes required compliance paperwork in a timely and efficient manner. Monitors all of their areas and/or programs activities closely to maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

Required Education and/or Experience:-Bachelor's Degree
-Two years of direct fundraising or transferable experience (marketing, admissions, public relations, alumni relations, volunteer management, or sales experience)

-High School Diploma/Equivalent
